In Writer’s Workshop, students learned the value of including setting and action in stories. Describing what characters see, hear, touch, taste, and feel build the scene for readers. It gives the story a world where things are taking place. Action can happen!

We are beginning our incredible voyage into the world of Google. Be sure to touch base with your parent or student about the fun world of Google Classroom. Using Google Classroom will allow me to react in real time with students, collaboration will be simplified, and transporting and saving files is done automatically.
In the upcoming weeks, there will be parent teacher conferences. I am really look forward to spending thirty minutes updating parents on the progress of students. Time will be spent discussing the following topics: reading, writing, math, science, upcoming social studies units, homework and any concerns you may have.
Thank you chaperones. As I mentioned to you all at the end of the field trip, you are all saints. We really appreciated you taking the time out of your day to join us on the field trip. Many of you shared laughs, learning and near falls into mud.
