End of Year

Hi Parents,

I hope you are having a great start to your summer. Many students told me about their summer plans. For those of you who have your children at camp, lucky, enjoy the quiet!
This past year was amazing. This school year, I had high expectations for the students, I pushed them to be better each day, and you were there to support them in many different ways. Checking in with your child, clarifying homework and expectations, calling or emailing me, volunteering for field trips and sharing your Immigration Stories are a few examples of ways you helped this school year.

This school year was only a success because of the support I received from you, parents. Thank you so much for all you do. Please continue to fight for your child throughout their educational journey. Leave no stone unturned because it will pay off at the end.
Finally, I wouldn’t be a teacher if I didn’t give some kind of assignment. At the end of my last day, I informed the Brufftopians of a simple writing project. Every year I offer a 10-minute quiet activity for your child to complete this summer. Your child can write me a letter (snail mail). I promised all the students if they write to me, I will write back. I’ve still got a few pen pals from Year 2 and Year 3.
Once again, thank you so much for all you have done this school year. If there is anything I can ever do for you or your child in the future, do not hesitate to ask. Once a Brufftopian, always a Brufftopian.
