This past Friday Bowman students took part in the Winter Strings Concert. Fourth graders have been taking lessons for three short months. They sounded splendid after a few months of practice.

String players head to lessons each Friday during the school year. Many students have experience playing instruments. However, students are expected to practice at least 15 minutes each day to be prepared for their in-school lessons.

Brufftopians were among the string players in the concert. Instruments played by Brufftopians include:

• violin
• viola
• chello
• bass

During the concert the crowd learned a few things. The Alphabet song, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all have the same melody. Can you hear it?
