We had an amazing time with the Harry Potter Book Club. Even though it was the Friday before vacation, students came prepared and learned a ton. Our guest teacher, Ms. Maloney, was as incredible as Harry Potter beating Malfoy to the snitch. She taught all about fear, happiness, and being resilient in the face of danger.
For the week after Winter Vacation, you need to finish the book. Also, for those of you who do not own a copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, you will want to reserve a copy at the library. If you can’t do that, be sure to find Mr. Bruff will have a copy. Finally, check out the graphic organizer. Because of printer Friday’s internet issues, the graphic organizer couldn’t be printed.
Want to Earn House Cup Points
As mentioned in the book club meeting. Check out the link and directions to create your own folded Marauder’s Map. I will take one completed map per house. This is an opportunity to earn up to 100 points for your house.
Last week we discussed Dementors, Boggarts, the Grim, and Divination Class. Be sure to complete the graphic organizer for a chance to earn your house 20 points.
