This past Friday we kicked off Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Mr. Taylor lead one of the greatest book talks we have had in the book club. Students shared their noticings and wonderings about the expanding wizarding world. Students shared their insight into the Weasley family. Finally, students talked about Harry’s loyalty to his friends.
Next week, our guest teacher Mrs. Loof! Be sure you’ve read Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. If you need a copy, be sure to see Mr. Bruff in room 30. We will discuss:
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- the wide and vast wizarding world,
- the Tri-Wizard Tournament, and
- the power of friendship.
If you did not receive a handout at the end of Session 12, check out the graphic organizer for the upcoming book club meeting.
