Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the new Bowman School Principal.
Please welcome Ms. Jenny Corduck, who will join us from the Melrose Public Schools where she has been for the past twenty-one years.  For the last eleven years, Ms. Corduck has been a principal in three different locations in Melrose.

Yesterday, Ms. Corduck was presented to the faculty and then to parents in the afternoon.  Jenny and I had the opportunity to begin our transition discussions and to go out to dinner before she was presented to the School Committee yesterday evening.  Ms. Corduck stayed to hear about all nine schools improvement plans and to listen to the presentation on our Dismantling Racism Curriculum to the School Committee.

Jenny and I are in the process of making arrangements for additional time for transition.  I will be in touch with the PTA about the possibility of other transition events for families – and I know that Jenny has many things to do before the end of this year to get her current school ready for transition.

I am thrilled to work with Jenny and our staff to assure a smooth, safe and successful transfer.  Bowman will be in good hands with Jenny!

Ms. Corduck will be on vacation during the first part of July and will start at Bowman sometime after July 11, 2018.
