Students all across 4th grade came to Brufftopia to take part in the Harry Potter Book Club. Students wore their Hogwarts regalia, shared their favorite parts of the assigned reading, and asked questions to deepen their thinking.
Brufftopians learn how to subtract by asking, “What’s the difference?” Students create a number line, use landmark numbers, “count up,” and uncover the difference in equations. Check out the pictures below of students working on their What’s the Difference graphic organizer.

Over the past week Brufftopians have dived in head first into using technology. Students are using iPads, laptop computers, iMovie, and Google Classroom to showcase their learning. Technology Specialist, Ms. Rhodes, taught a lesson and leant her expertise while the class began working on their book trailers.
