At the latest Harry Potter Book Club, Mr. Swanton joined and taught us a new way of showing our thinking while we read. Students chose 2 characters, created images, draw symbols and illustrations to deepen their thinking about our book. Take a look at the pictures below to see student samples.

What You Need to know for the Next Harry Potter Session

• Finish the book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,
• Reserve the next book (As of 10/20/17, Cary Memorial and its partners have 17 copies), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets from the library,
• Next week our guest teacher will be Mrs. Aikenhead,
• Complete the quizzes on the website, and
• Keep track of ideas while you read!
