This past week we learned a bunch. But one thing we learned in Social Studies is maps we are currently learning about latitude and longitude. In our classroom, we have a map.
In Dismantling Racism, we have pins connected to a string. The string that we have on the map is a Grandparents, Parents Great Grandpas, Great Grandmas journey from wherever they’re from, maybe you’re from Taiwan and you moved from Taiwan to Lexington (here)there is a pin from Taiwan and another pin at Lexington and a string that connects the two pins. In the end when you look at the Map (most) of the strings end in Lexington, our home.
