Friday, March 3rd was Disco Bingo at Bowman School. In case you are not familiar, Disco Bingo is a fundraiser for Bowman School. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their “Disco” best while they play Bingo for the chance to win fun prizes.

Class Basket Raffle

Disco Bingo is a fun night for everyone. Believe it or not, the event captures students imaginations well before winners scream out, “Bingo!” Prior to Disco Bingo, class baskets are created by the Bowman School room parents. Items are selected for the class basket based on the classroom teacher’s interest. For example, Ms. Selhub’s class spent time programing robots so her basket was filled with programable Legos. Mrs. Bennet is in love with Boston sports so her basket was filled with Boston sports goodies!

Students were also encouraged to bring pennies in place of bingo markers. The pennies are then donated to the sister school in Sagam.

The Night was Packed with Fun

Over all, the night was star studded with celebrity guests such as Mr. Bruff, Mr. Bruff’s kids, and the versatile Mr. Swanton. Plus there were 3 prizes for best costume, 3 prizes for best dance moves, 7 student callers and 7 bingo winners all received a gift bag full of fun items.
