The Ghost of the Past

“You’re a ghost like me. Who are you?” Gabriella asked. 

With a formal bow, the ghost said, “I’m named after a rock formation in Utah.”

The Khan raised an eyebrow and responded, “I have lived my entire life on the Island of Brufftopia. I don’t have a clue where Oh-tah is.”

“It’s pronounced like You-tah. You try.” the Ghost of the Past said.

Crouching into a fighting stance the khan was ready to smash the ghost’s face in a moments notice. “You better tell me your name or you’re going to be ghost that can’t shimmer and shine.” Gabriella said.

The ghost cleared her throat and said, “My name is Shuntavi, like the Shuntavi Butte in Utah. Try saying You-tah.”

“Blu-chow.”

Shuntavi, the Ghost of the Past put her finger under her chin and looked thoughtfully at Gabriella Khan. Trying to say Utah was getting them both no where. The ghost knew it was time to move on and get to the heart of the matter. “Gabriella, I am the Ghost of the Past. Dun, dun, dah!
