Thank you for all of your support during Brufftopia’s March Book Madness. The championship round saw 815 votes. In total, there were over 2,000 votes cast in the different rounds. Once again, thank you for making March and books more enjoyable for the students of Brufftopia.
Why is it Named Brufftopia’s March Book Madness?
Last week, one student asked me, “Why is the tournament named “Brufftopia’s March Madness” if there are people outside of our class community voting for books?” I explained to the student:
- We, Brufftopians, selected the books for the tournament,
- The tournament adds excitement to our next “To-Read” book, and finally,
- It’s nice to be nice so we included other people throughout the Lexington community and the Twitterverse to vote!
Brufftopia’s March Book Madness Award
Right now, students are completing an award for the winner of the Brufftopia’s March Book Madness. Over the last 2 weeks students looked at the Caldecott, the Pulitzer Prize, the Corretta Scott King Award, and the Hugo Award to design a class medal for the winner of the tournament. Ten o’clock in the morning, Thursday, April 6th, we will announce the winner of March Book Madness along with the name of the medal.
Stay tuned for more details.
