Friday, November 3rd, students met to discuss Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Starting the second book of the Harry Potter Series meant readers would need to bring bits of information from the previous book while they were reading.  This week book club members created a timeline to keep the story organized. 

Readers also had a chance to sit with their houses for the first time. Each house created visuals for the timeline that related most to their house. Check out a few different scenes students created visuals for.

• Slytherin – Fight between the Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Weasley.
• Hufflepuff – The whomping willow.
• Ravenclaw – Harry and Ron facing the music (punishment) with the professors.
• Gryffindor – Escaping the Dursley’s with a flying car.

What I need for Next Session

• Read chapters 6, 8, 9, and 10 of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
• Bring an illustration of a scene that best represents your house.
• Guest teacher next week is Ms. Raboin.
