As the year has kicked off, students have been given their jobs within the class economy. Brufftopians applied for a wide range of jobs. Students will complete jobs daily, weekly, and monthly.
Now that jobs have been given, students are excited to be contributing to the classroom. Jobs include bankers, board managers, lunch coordinator, technology assistant, and many more. Students who complete their jobs and earn a salary. Each student needs to complete their job to the best of their ability because they will need to pay to “rent” their desk. Students have also been rewarded bonus money for contributing to the class economy and school climate.
Natural Disasters
Students are excited about saving money to buy their desks. However, they learned how important it is to save in the event there is a natural disaster. This past weekend, a snowstorm ravaged the Northeast region. Students sitting in the North and East regions in the classroom had to pay a disaster recovery. A few students were excited they missed the “storm” but they learned the importance of planning for the unthinkable.
