Week one in Brufftopia was incredible. The students were excited to learn about the fourth grade. Even though the first week of school was short, students learned a great deal. They learned about their classmates, classroom routines, and they learned about having a growth mindset.
Many students are adjusting to the increased independence of fourth grade very well. Transitioning into the classroom in the morning and completing the Morning Routine has been “a work in progress” this week. As students get more comfortable, completing all the tasks on the Morning Checklist will become second nature.
Next week is going to be even better. I’m really looking forward to have all of this year’s class together for the first time.
